Construction Estimating Assistant

Job Description

The Estimating Assistant works closely with the project estimators to produce accurate and cost effective estimates. This person works under the direct supervision of the Senior Estimator in acquiring the necessary bid documents and details for each bid.

Responsibilities

Obtains bid documents as directed by the Senior Estimator

Maintain RFQ / Bid files by converting, organizing and saving information into the electronic bid file

System.

Notify subs and vendors for pricing

Assist with the set-up of the actual estimate in the bid software

Prepares bid qualification statements, bid forms and quotes

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent verbal written and communication skills

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project is a must

Knowledge of AutoCAD a real plus

Must be detailed oriented, ability to multitask and flexibility

Able to handle stressful situations and fast pace work
